Riverside Pediatrics

Riverside Pediatrics plush 3D crab mascot illustration

This project was a special one from the start. A close friend reached out when his wife was getting ready to open her own pediatric practice, Riverside Pediatrics. Working with her was a fantastic collaborative experience—she came to the table with core concepts and visual elements that already had personal meaning, giving us a great foundation to build from.

Life Stages

Life Stages infographic for Protect My ID covering identity protection at each stage of life

Originally created as a set of header images for Protect My ID (PMID), this project paired each banner illustration with a detailed infographic underneath to explore identity theft protection across different life stages—from childhood through the golden years. To give the artwork a fresh, modern perspective, I reimagined the full illustration set using generative style transfers to render it in a tactile, velvet-like 3D depth. The soft, embossed texture breathes new tactile life into the icons, characters, and intricate details throughout the layout.

UniKey

UniKey logo mark in 3D on a dark green background

UniKey isn’t a client — it’s the company I do contract work for as a designer at Swoop In Technologies, which made this one personal in a different way than most projects here. UniKey builds a cryptographic network that verifies a digital action was actually authorized before it executes — infrastructure meant to operate quietly and be trusted without being noticed.

Online on Fire

Online on Fire infographic for ODU Monarch magazine on the rise of online classes

Monarch Mag at ODU brought me this one to help tell a shift that was happening fast: for the first time, a majority of Old Dominion students had taken at least one online class, and enrollment in online courses had jumped 46 percent in just five years. The brief was to take a page full of enrollment numbers and make them feel as urgent as the headline — “Online on Fire” — promised.

Integrity Bank

Integrity Bank for Business I monogram logo framed in gold

When Integrity Bank for Business came to me to build out their brand identity, I was glad to be working with a company so close to home — they’re based right here in Virginia Beach, and it’s always a little more rewarding putting work into the world for a local name you might run into around town.

Dr. Ponton

Dr. Ryan Ponton RP monogram logo in 3D

When Dr. Ryan Ponton approached me to brand his name to promote his practice in Coastal Virginia, I was very excited to create a mark unique to his name that also tied into his profession as a hand surgeon.

Chattahoochee Hills Art

Chattahoochee Hills Farmers Market and Farm Bike Tour poster with a couple biking through farmland

Event art for the Chattahoochee Hills Farmers Market & Farm Bike Tour — a couple riding out through rolling farmland, surrounded by little clay-style produce icons (tomato, garlic, mushroom, apple, cucumber) that double as a menu of what’s waiting at the market. Kept the color palette warm and sun-baked to match the setting, with a simple windmill-and-silo skyline anchoring the bottom so the whole thing reads as “a good day outside” at a glance.

Tidewater Parent Cover

Tidewater Parent magazine cover illustration of teens on an isometric city tower

One of my very first magazine covers, and it takes me right back.

I was working at Portfolio Weekly at the time, and Tidewater Parent published out of the same building. Their team saw some of my work and asked me to design the cover for their “Teens at the Top” feature. I’d just discovered isometric art and thought it fit — all those little stacked levels felt right for a story about teens climbing to new heights.

Norfolk, VA Landmarks

Detail of Norfolk landmarks illustration showing Scope Arena and sailboats

A personal piece celebrating Norfolk, Virginia — a city I lived in for about four years while my wife was at EVMS, in the Ghent neighborhood. This one started as flat 2D icons, the same way most of my illustration work begins, before I pushed the whole set through a claymation-style 3D render: the MacArthur Memorial, the Chrysler Museum’s rotunda, the Harrison Opera House, the NARO cinema marquee, the old trolley, Nauticus, even the mermaid sculptures the city’s known for, all rebuilt as soft, tactile little objects scattered across one blue backdrop like a collection of toys.

Monarch Mag Food Infographic

ODU Monarch magazine Bigger, Better New Year campus dining infographic thumbnail

Another one for Old Dominion University’s Monarch magazine — a dining feature on everything new across campus this year. The headline treatment does double duty as a little wayfinding joke — menu arrows pointing toward a lion-shaped chicken wing, since (per the piece) it’s really all about convenience, customization, and chicken. Scroll down for the full spread — food trucks, the new Panera on Monarch Way, and the giant clay-style burgers and coffee cups that tie the whole thing together.
