111 Archer Avenue

I am a happy camper right now. My first screen print run of art prints is about to debut at a pop-culture themed show centering around the movies of Wes Anderson. For this show I decided to recreate the iconic house from The Royal Tenenbaums, appropriately titled “111 Archer Avenue”. The show is located in Chicago at Gallery 27 and the show opens this Friday!

Since it was a 3 color screen print (18″ x 24″), I wasn’t sure how to use my gradient shading and instead decided to use brick and zig-zag patterns to give the house that whimsical element felt when you watch this fantastic film. The prints were printed on very thick pink paper and I was so excited to crack the box open to sign and number them. The screen printer did a fantastic job- check their¬†website here. ¬†Sadly I only got one artist proof out of the shipment as I would have loved to give a few away to friends and family. Stay posted as I will share the link of where to buy them soon.
